Life
Insurance premiums are paid monthly by the firm. SOA covers 90% of employees'
medical insurance. In addition, 50% of Dental Insurance for the employee,
their spouse, and their children
are
paid, making total
family dental care available for only a few dollars a month.
Quarterly
Bonus Plan & Incentive Compensation Plan
SOA believes in
sharing profits with our employees. On a quarterly basis, we distribute
a percentage of our profits to employees, along with a quarterly bonus
which can be earned based on time invested in the firm.
401K
/ Profit Sharing Plan
401K / Profit Sharing is available to full-time employees subject to eligibility
(length of employment) requirements. For 2005, SOA provides a dollar for
dollar match up to the first 3% of salary the employee contibutes each
month. SOA also matches 1/2 of the next 2% of salary contributed.
Professional
Development
SOA's
commitment to professional development is reinforced by a three-part program.
Individuals receive a Personal Professional Development Allowance based
on their position with the firm. Individuals are encouraged to be creative
in broadening their horizons to enhance their professional careers. Interns
may use their allowance toward the cost of the architectural licensing
exam. Company-wide professional development features in-house or seminar
based training to provide tools and information necessary for the advancement
of architecture, interior design, and related work. Brown Bag lunches
and field trips are featured on a regular basis to provide information
and add fun to the work environment.
