Originally designed in 1936 as a United States Post Office, the General Services Administration and The Youzeum also previously occupied the building. Now owned by Columbia College, Federal Hall provides much needed space for the Online Education Center, Serving the Public Servants , and the Nursing Education Center. Additional functions housed in the building include, a Computer Lab, Production Studio, Conference Rooms, and Document Imaging and Storage.
